Nixon Employee Robert Burton and his Sentry Collection

Do you have a favorite Sentry? Which one is it and why?

My favorite Sentry is from the Nixon x Pendleton collab. Growing up my grandma would always buy me a Pendleton shirt for Xmas so it reminds me of her and that’s why it is my favorite.

How many Sentry's do you own?

I believe I have around 25.

When did you buy or receive your first Nixon Sentry?

My first Sentry I got as a groomsman gift in 2012.

What do you love most about the Sentry?

That it’s a very clean simple watch that looks good and there are a variety of options from all the years it’s been in the line. The Sentry is not too big and not too small.

Which came first: your job at Nixon or your interest in watches?

My interest in watches came first. Growing up my dad always wore watches and I think that was the catalyst that sparked my interest. I would try to wear his as my own until I finally got my own. From there my interest just seemed to continue to grow to the point now where I’ve got way too many.

What is your favorite part of your job as a Product Development Associate at Nixon?

The favorite part about my job is getting to design and create something new. Seeing a watch that I helped design and create go from a thought to a tangible product to seeing it on people’s wrist is amazing.
